About us

The Waiting Garden

Bloom in the Wait. Grow in Christ. Live with Purpose.

Our story

Waiting, reimagined

The Waiting Garden is a community of believers created to help people navigate the different seasons of their spiritual journey, particularly seasons of waiting, preparation, growth and becoming.

The Garden was birthed from the understanding that waiting is not a period of inactivity or abandonment. It can be a season where God nurtures, strengthens, prepares and transforms us. We exist to provide a safe and intentional community where believers grow in their relationship with God, remain accountable, fellowship with other believers, and learn to bloom wherever God has planted them.

Our why

No season is wasted

We believe that no season of a believer's life is wasted when it is surrendered to God. The Waiting Garden helps believers understand their identity in Christ, grow spiritually, remain accountable, discover purpose, develop a genuine hunger for God's Word and become increasingly intentional about living for God.

Our goal is not simply to help people wait, but to help them grow while they wait.

Vision

Renewed in strength

To build a Christ-centred community where believers learn to trust and wait on God, are renewed in strength, equipped to grow through every season, and empowered to rise, run, and fulfil God's purpose without fainting.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Mission

Nurture & equip

To nurture and equip believers through God's Word, prayer, fellowship, accountability, discipleship, and intentional service, helping them grow in Christ, discover purpose, and remain fruitful in seasons of waiting.
